Online Application Steps

  1. Candidates must register on the Online Application Portal on the official website: https://dibru.ac.in.

  2. Enter Full Name, Password, and a Mobile Number to get an OTP for Activation.

  3. Log in, fill the Application Form for "Ph.D. Admission" and pay the required fee.

  4. Payment Mode: Fee must be paid ONLY through the online payment gateway (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking/UPI). No other mode is accepted.

  5. Applicants can save and review the information before submission, but editing is not possible after final submission.

Mandatory Hard Copy Submission

Candidates must submit the Print-Copy of the application along with the following self-attested documents to the Office of the Department/Centre of Studies concerned by November 03, 2025 (5:00 PM):

  • Copies of the Pass Certificate and Mark Sheets from HSLC to Master's Degree.

  • Copy of the Award Letter (in case of CSIR/UGC NET/GATE qualified candidates and/or research fellowship from National level funding agencies).

  • M.Phil. Pass Certificate and Marksheet (if applicable).

  • Caste Certificate (if the candidate belongs to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC Non-Creamy Layer) or Certificates related to PWD and EWS.

  • No Objection Certificate (NOC), if the candidate is employed.

4. Eligibility, Exemption, and Reservation Policy

A. Eligibility through DURAT 2025

  • Intending candidates must qualify in the Dibrugarh University Research Admission Test (DURAT).

  • Qualifying Marks (Phase 1: Written Test): 50% for General Category.

  • Reservation Policy: Statutory Reservation Policy shall be followed. Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/MOBC, PWD, EWS) shall receive a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks.

B. DURAT 2025 Exempted Candidates

The following candidates are exempted from appearing in DURAT 2025 (Written Test) but must still apply online:

  1. Candidates who have qualified CSIR/UGC NET/GATE and/or have research fellowship from National level funding agencies.

  2. Candidates who have passed the M.Phil. programme (in regular mode and in the concerned subject).

6. Admission Procedure and Viva-Voce

  1. Shortlisting: The concerned Department/Centre of Studies shall publish a list of candidates shortlisted for the Viva-Voce based on the performance in DURAT 2025 and exempted status.

  2. Viva-Voce Examination: A Viva-Voce Examination shall be conducted for all shortlisted candidates.

  3. Weightage for Selection:
