Key Updates

Shreyas Iyer has chosen to take a six-month break from red-ball cricket to focus on fitness and recovery after back surgery and recent discomfort. As a result, he is not considered for the Irani Cup selection. However, he will captain India A in the limited-overs series against Australia A.

This fresh squad announcement highlights BCCI’s focus on nurturing young talent and creating a strong bench strength for the future.

These squads reflect a blend of experienced and emerging players, providing a strong lineup to compete with Australia A and maintain the prestige of the Irani Cup. Fans can look forward to competitive and high-quality cricket across these upcoming contests.
