The Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has released a notification inviting online applications for admission to its Ph.D. programmes for the academic year 2025–26.
A total of 23 departments are offering seats across diverse disciplines including Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, Commerce, and Professional Studies.
Important Dates:
- Start of online application: 12 September 2025
- Last date to apply: 23 September 2025
- Interview dates: 7–8 October 2025
- Final admission list: 15 October 2025
Eligibility Criteria:
Admission will be based on the UGC-NET eligibility categories:
- Category 1: JRF and Assistant Professor eligible → Ph.D. admission allowed
- Category 2: Assistant Professor eligible → Ph.D. admission allowed
- Category 3: Ph.D. admission only
Candidates must have a valid score in UGC-NET (June/Dec 2024 or June 2025), CSIR-JRF, GATE, GPAT, or other national-level tests. Those who cleared NET before June 2024 are not eligible.
A 5% marks relaxation is available for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwD/EWS candidates.
