Applications are invited from the Indian citizens for filling up one post of Research Associate (RA)& one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) sponsored by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Govt. of India, in the research area of perovskite/lead free perovskite/double perovskite/perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells from lab scale to large area /biomass /biocoal/biofuel.
A. ELIGIBILITY
1. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF)
Essential Qualifications:
M.Sc./M.Tech. in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Chemistry/Applied Chemistry /Electronics/Material Science /Nanotechnology/Energy Sc. & Technology/Chemical Engineering with National Eligibility Test (NET)/GATE in the relevant subject.
Age Limit:
The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years as on 13.10.2025, which is relaxed upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes, Women, Physically Handicapped and OBC applicants as per Govt. of India rules & regulations.
Tenure: The above position is purely contractual and initially for a period of 1 year. The continuation of the fellowship is subjected to satisfactory performance and review at the end of the year. On satisfactory performance, the tenure of the fellowship may further be extended.
2. POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW (PDF)/RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (RA)
Essential Qualifications (as per MNRE Norms):
Ph.D. in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Chemistry/Applied Chemistry /Electronics/Material Science /Nanotechnology/Energy Sc. & Technology/Chemical Engineering with M.Sc./M.Tech. in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Chemistry/Applied Chemistry /Electronics/Material Science /Nanotechnology/Energy Sc. & Technology/Chemical Engineering at least 55% or equivalent grade.
The candidate applying for Post Doctoral Fellow/Research Associateship must have at least one research publication in standard refereed journal as listed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
Age Limit:
The upper age limit for PDF shall be 35 years, which is relaxed upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes, Women, Physically Handicapped and OBC applicants.
Tenure:
The above position is purely contractual and initially for a period of 1 year. The continuation of the fellowship is subjected to satisfactory performance and review at the end of the year. On satisfactory performance, the tenure of the fellowship may further be extended.
B. STIPEND/Fellowship Amount
Category Fellowship
Junior research fellow Rs.31,000/-per month with HRA(as per Govt. rules)
Post-Doctoral Fellow/Research Associate Rs.47,000/-per month with HRA (as per Govt. rules)
C. INSTRUCTIONS
The candidates should carefully read these instructions before submitting the application.
1. The candidate must furnish about 500 words abstract of the R&D works he/she plans to pursue on the research topics proposed in the advertisement along with the application and detailed CV focusing research work (especially for the candidates applying for PDF/RA).
2. The candidates applying for PDF/RA are required to do 5-10 minutes presentation based the proposed work and the work undertaken during the Ph.D.
3. Misrepresentation or hiding of facts, canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification/termination. No interim enquiries will be attended by the Institute.

5. The last date for application is Oct. 13. 2025.
6. No TA/DA or any claim will be reimbursed/paid to candidate for attending the interview.
7. The date of the interview will be intimated to the candidate by e-mail only. The candidates are instructed to mention their e-mail id/id's carefully in CV.
