The Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA) is a landmark health initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17 September 2025, aimed at improving the healthcare of women and children across India.

The campaign runs till 2 October 2025, making it the largest health outreach program of its kind in the country.

Objectives

SNSPA focuses on strengthening preventive, promotive, and curative health services tailored to women and children. The campaign emphasizes early screening and treatment of diseases such as cancer, anaemia, tuberculosis, sickle cell disease, hypertension, and diabetes.

It promotes maternal, child, and adolescent health through interventions like immunisation, nutrition counselling, menstrual hygiene awareness, and mental health education. 

Additionally, the program encourages healthy lifestyles encompassing obesity prevention and voluntary blood donation.

Implementation and Scope

More than one lakh health camps are organized throughout the country at various government health facilities such as Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Community Health Centres, and District Hospitals. 

Private hospitals, medical colleges, and premier institutions like AIIMS and ESIC actively participate to provide specialist services in fields including gynaecology, paediatrics, dermatology, and psychiatry. 

Grassroots workers such as ASHA and Anganwadi workers, youth volunteers under MY Bharat, and community groups play a vital role in mobilizing awareness and participation at village and urban levels.

Monitoring and Technology

The progress of SNSPA is tracked in real-time using the SASHAKT portal, which ensures transparency and efficiency in implementation. This technology-driven monitoring helps in identifying and addressing gaps in delivery swiftly.

Integration with Other Programs

SNSPA synergizes with existing government initiatives like Mission Shakti, which focuses on women’s empowerment, and Poshan 2.0, targeting nutrition and malnutrition reduction among women and children. 

The campaign also aligns with the 8th edition of Rashtriya Poshan Maah, reinforcing nutrition literacy and healthy practices at the community level.

Community Engagement

The campaign strongly promotes community participation, recruiting Nikshay Mitras and volunteers, especially in tribal and rural areas, to ensure wide outreach and acceptance. Educational efforts cover menstrual hygiene, nutrition, infant and young child feeding, wellness, and mental health.ipr.

Expected Impact

SNSPA aims to reduce maternal and child mortality rates, improve key health indicators, and empower women and families to adopt healthier lifestyles. It symbolizes a comprehensive approach toward building healthier communities and a stronger India by 2047.
