NIT Agartala Recruitment 2025 Library Professional Trainee (Internship)
The Central Library of NIT Agartala is offering a fixed-period internship opportunity for fresh post-graduates in Library and Information Science. Here are the details:
Position Details:
- Name of Post: Library Professional Trainee (Fixed Period Internship)
- Number of Posts: 05 (Five)
- Stipend: ₹20,000 per month (fixed)
- Age Limit: Not more than 27 years as on the last date of application
- Last Date to Apply: 23 September 2025
Duration:
- The internship is for 12 months, extendable to another 12 months based on performance and institute requirements.
- Trainees can take up to 30 days of leave per year, but not more than 7 days at a time.
Essential Qualifications:
- First Division in Master of Library and Information Science (MLISc) from a recognized Indian university.
- Must have passed MLIS in 2024 or 2025. Candidates awaiting results may apply but must submit final mark sheets at the time of the written test/skill test and interview.
Essential Skills:
- Working knowledge of computer applications and library management/digital library software.
- Good writing skills.
Responsibilities:
- All tasks related to library operations.
- Must be willing to work in shifts, including night shifts and on holidays (rotation basis).
- Six-day work week.
Selection Process:
- Written test/skill test followed by a personal interview.
- Tentative date for test/interview: 09 October 2025
- Venue: Central Library, NIT Agartala
