Murshidabad University will conduct Walk-in-Interviews for the engagement of Guest Teachers on a purely temporary basis. Only fresh eligible candidates, who are not presently attached to any institution, are permitted to appear for the interview.

The interviews will be held as per the schedule given below:

Desirable Qualifications:


i. Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.

ii. Teaching experience, if any at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.

Job Responsibilities:


i. Teaching courses in the respective disciplines (preferably offline mode).

ii. Engaging in other academic activities of the university, if required.

Remuneration: As per the existing norms of Murshidabad University.

General instructions to the candidates:


i. Candidates must ensure before appearing in the walk-in-interview that they are eligible according to the criteria stipulated in the advertisement. If the candidate is found ineligible at any stage of recruitment process, he/she will be disqualified and their candidature will be cancelled.

ii. The initial engagement will be for a period of six months and may be renewed, subject to the satisfactory performance of the candidate and the requirements of the University.

iii. This engagement is purely temporary, and candidates shall have no claim or entitlement to permanent employment at Murshidabad University under any circumstances.

iv. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marking system specified in Annexure I, wherein 75 marks will be allotted for academic and research achievements and 25 marks for the interview.

v. No TA/DA or any other allowance will be admissible for attending the interview or the selection process.

vi. The decision of Murshidabad University (Berhampore, W.B.) in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, penalty for false information, mode of selection, methodologies for the selection, will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry/correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

vii. Hiding of information or submitting false information will lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage of recruitment. The University reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason whatsoever.

viii. Candidates are requested to bring the original mark sheets and other relevant documents from Class 10 onwards up to the highest degree, along with one set of self-attested photocopies, at the time of verification on the day of interview.

ix. Candidates are requested to bring the filled-in **information-cum-verification** sheet attached to this advertisement, to be produced at the time of verification.

x. The Interview will be held at the Murshidabad University Administrative Building (M.M.C PG Campus) 11, Police Reserve Road, Cantonment Area, Berhampore, Murshidabad, 742101.

xi. Candidates reporting after 11:30 a.m. on the scheduled interview date will not be permitted to attend the interview.

xii. The list of selected candidates will be updated on the University website; candidates are requested to visit the website regularly.

Marks Calculation Method:
The scores from Class X to M.A./M.Sc./LL.M. will be calculated using the 100% scaling method. For example, if a candidate secures 65% marks in Class X, the score will be computed as: \( 65 \times 5/100 = 3.25 \)
