The Ph.D. Programme of KKHSOU is offered in Regular Mode. The time schedule for the Ph.D. admission, 2025 is as follows:
a. Opening of Online Application form for UGC NET (JRF/Assistant Professor/PhD) qualified candidates:

b. Closing of Online Application form for UGC NET (JRF/ Assistant Professor/PhD) qualified candidates:
10th September, 2025
c. Publication of Merit list and call for interview.: 18th September, 2025
d. Interview for selection against vacancies: 22nd-25th September, 2025.
e. Declaration of selected list of candidates from UGC-NET (JRF/ Assistant Professor/PhD) - 8th October, 2025
f. Declaration of vacancies by disciplines (if any): 9th October, 2025
g. Opening of Online Application form for entrance exam for Non-NET qualified candidates: 9th-17th October, 2025.
h. Conduct of entrance exam: 26th October, 2025
i. Declaration of results: 7th November, 2025
j. Date of Interview cum Viva-voce for qualified candidates: 11th-13th November, 2025
k. Publication of final list of Selected Candidates: 21st November, 2025.
l. Date of Admissions for Ph.D. Programme: 22nd-30th November, 2025.

The application for Entrance Test will be through online mode only. The applicants are requested to visit the university website www.kkhsou.ac.in for online application and detailed advertisement. The application fee for Ph.D. program will be Rs 1000/- only.

The Ph.D. programmes will be conducted as per the following clauses:
1. Eligibility criteria for admission to the Ph.D. Programme:
The following are eligible to seek admission to the Ph.D. programme.
(A) Candidates who have completed:
i. A 1-year/2-semester master's degree programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree programme or a 2-year/4-semester master's degree programme after a 3-year bachelor's degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed
or
ii. Equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of the educational institution.
A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
Provided that a candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed. A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
(B) Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system in followed or equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. programme.
A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
Duration of the Ph.D. Programme:
Minimum duration of Ph.D. programme including course work shall be for a period of three years and maximum duration will be six years. A maximum of an additional two (2) years can be given through a process of re-registration as per the Statute/Ordinance of the Higher Educational Institution concerned; provided, however, that the total period for completion of a Ph.D. programme should not exceed eight (8) years from the date of admission in the Ph.D. programme.
Provided further that, female Ph.D. scholars and Persons with Disabilities (having more than 40% disability) may be allowed an additional relaxation of two (2) years; however, the total period for completion of a Ph.D. programme in such cases should not exceed ten (10) years from the date of admission in the Ph.D. programme.
Procedure for Ph.D. Admission and Entrance Exam
The NET (JRF), NET (Assistant. Professor) and NET (Ph.D.) qualified candidates are required to apply and if found eligible shall be shortlisted to appear for the Interview to be held on the given date. Admission to the Ph.D. programme is based on the performance in the interview. If any vacancies are available, then an entrance exam will be held for the otherwise eligible candidates.
The shortlisted candidates will have to give a presentation of the research proposal (format to be notified later) before a panel of experts based on where the final selection will be done. The schedule of the Ph.D. Admission is as provided in the Ph.D. admission announcement.

Course Work:
There is a six months of course work in regular mode for the selected Ph.D. candidate which is mandatory. At the end of the course work the candidates will have to appear for a course-work examination.
