GENERAL RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS
1. Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal invites online applications for Ph.D. Admission for the Session 2025-2026 (September). Admissions shall be governed by Ordinance-11 and UGC Regulations 2022 and subsequent amendments.
2. It is mandatory for all interested candidates to fill the online application form by the due date.
3. Admission to the Ph.D. programme is offered in the following subjects. Applicants must select the subject in which they wish to take admission. Admission is through UGC-NET/CSIR UGC-NET/JRF valid scorecards.

4. The number of vacant seats may increase or decrease at the time of the Research Admission Committee (RAC) meeting.
5. Applicants are advised to apply only if they fulfill the eligibility requirements. The responsibility of checking appropriate eligibility lies with the candidate.
6. Applicants must read and understand the details given in the information brochure, Ordinance-11, and UGC Regulations 2022 before filling the online application form. No written communication regarding Ph.D. Admission for Session 2025-2026 (September) shall be provided. Applicants are advised to visit the university website regularly for updates.
7. Ph.D. Admission Procedure (Session 2025-2026): Candidates will be declared eligible in three categories:
- Category-1: Eligible for (i) Admission to Ph.D. with JRF and appointment as Assistant Professor.
- Category-2: Eligible for (i) Admission to Ph.D. without JRF and (ii) appointment as Assistant Professor.
- Category-3: Eligible for (i) Admission to Ph.D. Programme only and not for award of JRF or appointment as Assistant Professor.
The result of NET will be declared in percentile along with the marks obtained by a candidate to utilize the marks for admission to Ph.D.
8. JRF-qualified students are admitted into the Ph.D. programme based on an interview as per UGC Regulations 2022.
9. For students who qualify in Categories 2 and 3, 70% weightage will be given for test scores and 30% weightage for the interview for admission to Ph.D. programmes. Ph.D. admission will be based on the combined merit of NET marks and the marks obtained in the interview/viva voce.
How to Apply: Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya Ph.D Admission 2025-26
a. Interested applicants may apply through the website: www.bubhopal.ac.in
b. Applicants can pay the fee online through MP-online authorized KIOSK in MP or through any ATM cum Debit card/Credit card or Net Banking.
c. Applicants must upload their recent coloured photograph in the given space of the online application form. No other documents are to be uploaded.
d. The name of the applicant must be the same as given in the marksheet/gradesheet of the 10th Class.
e. The information given in the online application form will be verified with original documents at the time of the interview. If any applicant provides incorrect or false information or withholds relevant information, they shall be debarred from admission, or admission may be cancelled at any stage without prior notice.
f. The decision of Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal regarding any dispute related to Ph.D. Admission 2025-2026 (September) will be final and binding.
g. The university reserves the right to modify any information at any stage.
10. Any legal disputes regarding Ph.D. Admission 2025-2026 (September) shall be subject to Bhopal jurisdiction.
