Akashvani Kolkata or Prasar Bharati Recruitment 2025 Broadcast Assistants
Applications are invited from eligible candidates residing within Greater Kolkata for empanelment as Broadcast Assistants at Akashvani Kolkata, on a purely temporary and assignment basis.
Eligibility Criteria
• Essential Qualification: Graduation from any UGC-recognized University as on 31.08.2025.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be below 50 years of age as on 31.08.2025.
• Required Skills:
o Proficiency in translation between English and Bengali or Hindi or Urdu or Santhali and vice-versa.
o Sound knowledge of current national and international affairs.
o Awareness of local literary and cultural developments.
o Familiarity with Akashvani Kolkata programmes and the radio industry in general.
o Working knowledge of office software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).
Desirable Skills
• Competence in audio editing, mixing, and mastering using industry-standard software.
• Experience in audio recording and production.
• Skills in graphic design with industry-standard tools.
• Proficiency in photography/videography (mobile and camera-based).
• Ability in video editing using professional software.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content creation.
Selection Procedure

• Shortlisted candidates shall be required to appear for a written screening test, which will be followed by an interview on the same day for those who qualify further.
• Intimation for the written screening test will be sent only to the registered email address provided in the application. No communication will be sent by post.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the test or interview.
Other Terms & Conditions
• Empanelment will be strictly need-based, on a temporary and “as-and-when-required” basis and does not imply any fixed number of vacancies.
• Candidates empanelled may be engaged for a maximum of six (6) assignments per month and maximum of seventy-two (72) days in a year on a temporary and “as-and-when-required” basis
• Empanelment will not confer any right or claim for regular appointment in Akashvani Kolkata or Prasar Bharati. It is purely on a temporary basis.
• The decision of the Head of Programme, Akashvani Kolkata shall be final and binding in all matters. No further correspondence will be entertained.
• No application fee is payable.
