Applications are invited from Indian nationals only for project position(s) as per the details given below for the consultancy/research project(s) under the Principal investigator (Name: Dr Bhanu Prakash Vellanki), Department of Civil Engineering Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
Title of project:
Synergistic aerobic, anoxic, and anaerobic biofilter as a tertiary treatment technique for simultaneous removal of residual organics, total nitrogen, and emerging contaminants.

Qualifications:
B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering & M.Tech/ME in Environmental Engineering or any other relevant specialization from an AICTE/MoE recognized institute or university with a first class and a qualified GATE score. (Candidate must be capable of handling sophisticated equipment like TOC analyzer, IC, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, LC-MS, and UPLC-QTOF)
Emoluments:
Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA (as per institute guidelines) 5.
Duration:
3 years/completion of project, whichever occurs earliest
Job description:
Extensive Field visits (installation and monitoring of bench-scale and pilot-scale bio-filter setup); Periodic sampling and monitoring of wastewater quality parameters on site, and laboratory testing: Analysis and interpretation of quality data employing standard methods and software; Quality control; Preparation of technical report, Candidate will assist in technical as well as official work related to the project.
