Online applications are invited from eligible candidates against a few number of vacant seats for admission in Post Graduate Programmes under different Subjects namely Bengali, Education and Journalism & Mass Communication of Harichand Guruchand University, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal for the Academic Session 2025-27.

General Information - Harichand Guruchand University PG Admission 2025-27

I. Admission process will be done strictly based on MERIT.

II. The reservation in seats and relaxation in the qualifying marks in favour of the reserved categories shall be as per the West Bengal Government rules.

III. All Merit Lists are provisional. If any discrepancy is found (regarding the marks/ candidate's details) at the time of document verification or in the future course then his/her candidature may be cancelled accordingly.

Merit List Preparation Criteria

I. Merit List will be prepared on the basis of Honours / Graduation Marks as and when applicable. Only 2% marks will be deducted from the total percentage obtained in the qualifying examination (B.A. Honours) for all candidates having passed their qualifying examination in the year 2022, 2023 & 2024 for M.A. in Bengali, Education, and History.

II. Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination in or before 2021 are not eligible to apply for Bengali, Education, and History. This rule will not be applicable in Journalism & Mass Communication.

1. Category-wise Break-up of the seats for P.G. Admission shall be as per the West Bengal Government rules.

II. In case of non-availability of Hons/B.Ed., vacant seats will be converted for B. Ed./ Hons. Candidates.

Before applying through online mode, candidates are hereby directed to go through the fees structure, mentioned in the website, for admission into the abovementioned subjects.

Application Fees: 

Candidates do not have to pay any application fee as per the West Bengal Government rules.
