Ekalavya Model Residential School Recruitment 2025 Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff Posts


Applications are invited in prescribed format for filling up the following vacant posts of Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff for Ekalavya Model Residential School (English medium School), Punsha, Bandwan, Purulia by engaging suitable candidates. Engagement will be made on purely contractual basis for a period of one year duration.

The contractual period may be extended on yearly basis if satisfactory service is found to be rendered. The details of vacancies of Teaching and non-Teaching Staffs to be engaged on contract basis and other terms and conditions are as below:

1. Consolidated monthly remuneration for teaching and non-teaching staff on contract basis will be as follows:

(1) Teacher in Charge Rs.23,000/- per month

(ii) Assistant Teacher (PGT) in all the subject Rs. 18000/- per month (iii) Superintendent of Boys Hostel, Matron of Girls Hostel & Clerk-Rs. 13,500/- per month.

(iv) Cook & Peon (Group-D/ Class-IV Staff)-Rs. 12,000/- per month. (v) Helper to Cook, Sweeper/Toilet Cleaner, Night Guard-Rs.8,380/- per month.

2. Method of recruitment of Teaching Staff:- Direct recruitment through viva-voce on contractual basis, preference will be given to local residents.

3. Method of recruitment of Non-Teaching Staff for the post, Cook & Peon (Group-D/ Class-IV Staff Helper to Cook, Sweeper/Toilet Cleaner, Night Guard: Direct recruitment through viva-voce on contractual basis, preference will be given to local residents.

3 Method of recruitment of Non-Teaching Staff for the post of Superintendent of Bovs Hostel, Matron of Girls Hostel & Clerk: Direct recruitment through written test and viva-voce temporarily on contractual basis, preference will be given to local residents.

4. Qualification desirable for recruitment of Teacher in Charge: Master's degree in English /Bengali/Mathematics/History/Geography/PoliticalScience/Economics/Physics/Chemistry/Biology from recognized University with at least 50% marks at the post graduate level along with degree in Bachelor of Teaching or equivalent recognized by the national Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) in the relevant academic session. The candidates must have Ten years teaching experience in approved service in an English medium recognized High School on the last date of submission of application.

Qualification desirable for recruitment of Teaching Staff: 


Post Graduate in Bengali/English/Mathematics/Biological Science/History with at least 50% marks from a recognized University in the relevant subject along with Bachelor of Education (B. ED) from National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) recognised institution. [Note: For the subject Biological Science Degre in Botany or Zoology is also acceptable]

Qualification desirable for recruitment of Non-Teaching Staffs: 


Graduation degree for the posts of Superintendent, Matron and Clerk with knowledge in computer and for the post of Cook, Helper to cook, Sweeper and Night Guard, education qualifications Class-VIII passed.

Age Limit


For the post of Teacher-in-Charge, candidate age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 45 years (as on 01.01.2025).

For all other Posts, candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 38 years (as on 01.01.2025). Upper age limit for all posts is relaxable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category as per the State Govt. norms.

8. Non-teaching staff must be well versed and conversant in local tribal language and tribal culture.

Medical Fitness: 


No person shall be appointed to any post without medical certificate of fitness being granted by a Registered Medical Practitioner or as the Appointing Authority may approve.

10. Prescribed application form for the above-mentioned posts can be downloaded from the website (www.purulia.gov.in).

11. Intending candidates will have to submit applications along with relevant documents in a sealed envelope in the drop box kept at the office of the Project Officer-cum-District Welfare Officer, Backward Classes Welfare & Tribal Development, Purulia, PIN-723101 or through post on all working days from 29/08/25 to 18/09/2025 (up to 5 P.M.)

12. Following self-attested documents should be enclosed along with the Application Form:

a) Age Proof (Admit Card or Certificate of Secondary Examination).

b) Residential Proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter Card etc.)

c) Mark Sheets in support of Educational Qualifications (Both Sides) up to the Highest Qualification.

d) Experience Certificate from the Competent Authority if available.

e) Caste Certificate wherever applicable.

g) Mobile No. and valid e-mail id.

13. Candidates are requested to visit the district website (www.purulia.gov.in) regularly for any subsequent information/updation in this matter.

14. Only the top five (5) candidates, on the basis of academic marks (in case of teaching staff) & on the basis of written test (in case of Superintendent, Matron & clerk) will be called for interview. Others non-teaching staff will be selection on the basis of interview. Interview will be conducted by the District Level Selection Committee, Purulia.

15. District Committee of Paschim Banga Adibasi Kalyan-O-Siksha Parshad (PBAKOSP) reserves the right for rejection of any application, not duly filled in or received after due date & time etc. It also reserves the right to cancel/postpone/suspend any engagement to any aforesaid position at any point of time.

16. Candidature of any candidate shall be rejected straightway if not found eligible at any stage even after appearance in Interview.

17. No T.A./D.A. will be given for appearing for the Interview.

18. Removal: Authority reserves the right to terminate any candidate from his/her service at any time on the basis of misconduct, negligence of duty, unauthorized absence or any other ground.
