Application Process & Fee
How to Apply: Online through the registration portal on the official website: www.cuh.ac.in
Registration Fee: ₹1000 (One-time, non-refundable).
Fee Exemption: Candidates from SC/ST/PwD/Women/Transgender categories are exempted from paying the registration fee.
Key Instruction: Candidates interested in more than one Ph.D. programme must submit separate applications and pay the fee for each (if not exempted).
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have:
1. A Master's degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate (or an equivalent grade).
2. A relaxation of 5% marks (i.e., 50%) is allowed for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwD/EWS candidates.
3. As per NEP-2020, candidates with a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's degree (Honours/Honours with Research) seeking admission must have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate.

Admission Procedure
Admission is based primarily on the National Eligibility Test (NET) score. The process differs slightly for certain programmes.
A. For most programmes (where UGC/CSIR-NET is conducted):
Admission is based on the NET score and performance in an interview.
NET Categories:
Category-1: Eligible for Ph.D. with JRF and Assistant Professor. (Called directly for interview)
Category-2: Eligible for Ph.D. without JRF and Assistant Professor. (Called for interview based on merit, 1:5 ratio)
Category-3: Eligible for Ph.D. only. (Called for interview based on merit, 1:5 ratio)
Note: NET certificates must be issued on or after 1st May 2024.
B. For 5 specific programmes (where NET is not conducted):
Programmes: Ph.D. in Hotel Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The university will conduct an Entrance Examination on 22nd September 2025.
GATE/GPAT qualified candidates are exempted from this entrance exam.
The final merit will be based on: 70% weightage to Entrance Exam score and 30% weightage to interview performance.
C. Interview & Final Selection:
All shortlisted candidates must appear for an interview/viva-voce where they must discuss their research interest/area.
Scoring below 50% in the interview will lead to disqualification.
The final merit list will be prepared as per the university's reservation policy.

Fees paid will be forfeited if a candidate is found ineligible at any stage.
