আবেদনের শর্তাবলি
- আবেদনকারী ছাত্র-ছাত্রীকে পশ্চিমবঙ্গে বসবাসকারী হতে হবে
- বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য। "বাংলার শিক্ষা"-র ইউনিক আইডি থাকতে হবে
- প্রি-ম্যাট্রিক-এর ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের ক্ষেত্রে বাবা অথবা মায়ের ব্যাঙ্ক অ্যাকাউন্ট থাকতে হবে
- পূর্বতন পরীক্ষায় ন্যূনতম ৫০ শতাংশ নম্বর (প্রথম শ্রেণি এবং TSP ব্যতীত) পেতে হবে
- ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের নিজস্ব ব্যাঙ্ক অ্যাকাউন্ট থাকতে হবে

প্রধান বৈশিষ্ট্য
- দ্বিতীয় শ্রেণি থেকে দশম শ্রেণি এবং দ্বাদশ শ্রেণিতে পাঠরত ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের renewal করার জন্য কোনও আবেদন করার প্রয়োজন নেই।
- পুনর্নবীকরণের (renewal) যোগ্য ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা এসএমএস-এর মাধ্যমে কনফার্মেশন পাবে।
- যেসব ছাত্র-ছাত্রী প্রথম শ্রেণি বা নতুন স্কুলে ভর্তি হয়েছে ও যে সকল ছাত্র-ছাত্রী একাদশ শ্রেণিতে ভর্তি হতে চলেছে তাঁদেরই অনলাইনে আবেদন করতে হবে।
- আইআইটি, আইআইএম, এনআইটি ইত্যাদির মতন ৮৮টি তালিকাভুক্ত প্রসিদ্ধ শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের ক্ষেত্রে সম্পূর্ণ কোর্স ফি প্রদান করা হয়ে থাকে (তালিকার জন্য ওয়েবসাইট www.wbmdfcscholarship.in দেখুন)

Introduction
The Government of West Bengal established the "Aikyashree" scholarship scheme to address the educational aspirations of minority communities in the state. The scheme is fully funded by the State Budget and aims to provide financial support to meritorious students from minority communities, thereby creating more avenues for their socio-economic and educational mobility.
Types of Scholarships
The scheme offers three types of scholarships:
1. Pre-Matric Scholarship: For meritorious students from Class I to Class X.
2. Post-Matric Scholarship: For meritorious students from Class XI up to Ph.D..
3. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: For students pursuing technical and professional courses (e.g., Medical, Engineering, Management, Law, CA).
Objectives
Pre-Matric: To encourage minority communities to send their children to school and prevent drop-outs.
Post-Matric: To encourage students to continue their higher education.
Merit-cum-Means: To support students in pursuing professional/technical studies to enhance their employability.
Eligibility Criteria
A. Common Criteria for Pre-Matric & Post-Matric Scholarships:
The applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
Must be studying in an institution recognized by a State/Central educational board/council/university.
Must have secured at least 50% marks (or equivalent grade) in the previous final examination.
The annual family income must not exceed ₹2,00,000 (2 Lakh).
Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal are NOT eligible.
B. For Merit-cum-Means Scholarship:
The applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
Must have secured admission in a technical/professional course.
Must have secured at least 50% marks in the last qualifying exam (Higher Secondary/Graduation).
The annual family income must not exceed ₹2,50,000 (2.5 Lakh).
Students who are residents of West Bengal but pursuing studies in notified institutions outside the state are also eligible.
Selection Procedure
Scholarships will be provided to eligible students based on merit, subject to budgetary allocation.
For renewal, the student must have obtained 50% marks in the previous year's examination.
Scholarship Rates & Benefits

Important Notes:
Hostellers include students staying in a hostel, as a paying guest, or on rent.
Maintenance allowance is payable for a period not exceeding 10 months in an academic year.
Admission and tuition fees are reimbursed subject to actuals (up to the specified limit).
For some listed institutions, the full course fee may be reimbursed.
Application & Sanction Procedure
Applications must be submitted online through a dedicated portal.
Applications will be verified by the Nodal Teachers of the respective schools.
The selection will be made as per eligibility criteria.
Disbursement will be made through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) to the student's bank account.
Nodal Organisation
The West Bengal Minorities' Development & Finance Corporation (WBMDFC) is the nodal organization responsible for implementing this scheme. It may use up to 2% of the funds for administrative expenses.
Important Conditions
A family income certificate must be submitted at the time of application.
Scholarship renewal is contingent on securing 50% marks in the previous year's exam.
Students must maintain regular attendance as defined by the school authority.
The scholarship can be suspended or cancelled for violation of school discipline or scheme terms.
Obtaining a scholarship through false statements will lead to immediate cancellation and recovery of the paid amount.
