Applications are invited for admission to M.A. in Bengali, M.A. in English, M.A. in History, M.A. in History in Santali (OL-Chiki Script), M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication, M.A. in Kudmali, M.A. in Music and Performing Arts, M.A. in Political Science in Santali (OL-Chiki Script), M.A. in Philosophy in Santali (OL-Chiki Script), M.A. in Santali, M.Sc. in Geography, M.Sc. in Mathematics, M.Sc. in Nutrition and Public Health, Integrated Master of Library and Information Science for the academic session 2025-27, and PG Diploma in Kudmali Language and Culture, Diploma in Santali Dance and Music, Certificate Course on Jhumur for the academic session 2025-26.

PROVISIONAL SCHEDULE FOR ADMISSION TO POST-GRADUATE AND OTHER PROGRAMMES
1st Schedule for Online Admission of the Academic Session 2025-2026
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The candidates will fill in the specified Application Form only through online portal of university website (www.srcmujhargram.ac.in). They must complete all the steps e.g., personal details, academic details, uploading photo and signature.
The eligible candidates will also fill up the forms with percentage (%) of Marks obtained in Honours Course in annual system.
In case of Semester system, the candidate has to fill up the percentage (%) of Marks and CGPA as per rule of the institution/college last attended.
The candidates. have to upload the conversion rule (reverse side of the Mark Sheet of Graduation, if conversion rule for CGPA is mentioned there).
The students of all universities in India and abroad are eligible to fill up forms for admission to Post-Graduate Courses and Professional Courses for the academic session 2025-2026.
In accordance with the order No. 986-Edn (U)/HED-12016(21)/5/2025-UNV SEC-Dept. of HE, Dated: 01 August 2025 of the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal, the University authority decides to waive the application fee.
They have to produce the original Mark Sheets of graduation at the time of verification to be notified later on.
The eligible candidates will pay their prescribed fees online through the official online portal. The link for the payment of admission fees directly from the Admission Portal of the University will be notified in due course.
Eligibility Criteria
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO POST-GRADUATE AND OTHER COURSES
The candidates passed out in the year 2024 and 2025 are only eligible for admission to Post-Graduate Courses in Bengali, English, History, History in Santali (OL-Chiki Script), Kudmali, Philosophy in Santali (OL-Chiki Script), Political Science in Santali (OL-Chiki Script), Santali, Integrated Master of Library and Information Science, Geography, Mathematics, and Nutrition and Public Health for the academic session 2025-2027,
In case of M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication, Music and Performing Arts, PG Diploma in Kudmali Language and Culture, Diploma in Santali Dance and Music and Certificate Course on Jhumur, there is no year restriction.
Intake Capacity
Seat reservation rules will be followed as per the orders of the Government of West Bengal and the Department of Higher Education from time to time.
THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS HAVE TO BE BROUGHT BY THE PROVISIONALLY ADMITTED APPLICANTS AT THE TIME OF PHYSICAL VERIFICATION
1. Printout of the online filled-in Application Form with a passport size coloured photograph affixed in the box provided in the Application Form.
2. Self-attested photocopies of all the Mark sheets of Examinations passed (10th onwards), University Registration Certificate.
3. Self-attested photocopy of the Admit Card/Certificate of H.S. or equivalent /Madhyamik as evidence of the date of birth.
4. Self-attested photocopy of caste/differently-abled certificate (s) issued by the appropriate authority, for those applying under respective quota.
5. Self-attested photocopy of EWS certificate (/s) (valid for financial 2024-25 only) issued by the appropriate authority (Govt WB, Ref. No.959-BCW/MR-52/2019, dated: 18.05.2023), for those applying under respective quotas.
6. Migration Certificate (for other university applicants only) must be submitted within two months from the date of admission.
7. Self-attested copy of Aadhar Card.
8. Valid ABC-ID Certificate
9. Downloaded copy of students and his/her parents/guardian's affidavit regarding anti-ragging from the website
10. All the originals of above documents (2 to 9) required to verify.
Noted:
1. The Application Form, if not properly filled in, is liable to be cancelled.
2. If any correction or editing of data submitted by the candidate is required (in case of any mistake during the submission of the Admission Form), it must be done within the last date of submission of applications in the online portal, i.e., August 20, 2025.
3. All the provisionally admitted candidates are required to produce all the original Marksheets, Certificates and testimonials during verification. Candidates or his/her authorized person is to be present at the time of verification.
4. If at any stage, it is found that a candidate has concealed, suppressed or distorted any information/fact in the Application Form, his/her admission shall stand cancelled.
SELECTION PROCESS FOR ADMISSION
1. Merit list will be made strictly on the basis of marks/CGPA obtained in Honours/Graduation (in case of PG Diploma/Certificate Course). In case of equal marks/CGPA obtained in Honours, marks obtained in the immediately preceding examination are to be considered for ranking.
2. If the No. of UG candidate(s) is less than the No. of seats in Integrated Master of Library and Information Science, the seats will be filled up by the PG candidates and vice-versa. Similarly, if the No. of candidates of PG category reserved for SRMUJ is less than the No. of seats, the seats will be filled up by the candidates of other universities and vice-versa.
3. The enlisted candidates in Provisional Merit Lists of M.A. in Music and Performing Arts will have to appear at the Interview/Viva-voce for final selection. The selected candidates will get admitted in M.A. in Music and Performing Arts.
4. Online provisional admission will be done through the university admission portal.
5. The verification of testimonials and other documents for provisionally admitted students will be held on the date to be notified by the university authority on university website. The admission of a student will be cancelled, if he/she remains absent from classes for consecutive ten days from the date of commencement of classes without any intimation to the university authority,
This is to inform all concerned that the academic document verification of all students who have taken admission under the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd admission lists will be conducted on 01.09.2025 (Monday) from 11:30 a.m. onwards at the University campus.
The provisionally admitted students must bring the following documents for academic
verification:
