Advertisement for Empanelment of Guest Faculty.


Applications from eligible candidates are invited for Walk-in-Interview to be conducted for the Empanelment of Guest Faculty (ies) in the following department/programme for Academic Year 2025-26.

Recruitment is open in disciplines spanning Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture, Pharmacy, and more, with interviews scheduled between August 28 and August 30, 2025. 

A total of more than 30 positions are available. The interviews will take place at Academic Blocks A and B on the university campus. 

For each subject, only a small number of vacant posts are advertised (mostly one or two per department), reflecting the university’s needs for temporary academic staff for the upcoming session.

28 August, 2025 (2:00 PM onward, Block-A): Hindi, Social Work, Yoga 

28 August, 2025 (5:00 PM onward, Block-B): English, Computer Science (4 positions), Physics, Commerce 

29 August, 2025 (2:00 PM onward, Block-A): Philosophy, Political Science (Law), Psychology 

29 August, 2025 (5:00 PM onward, Block-B): Chemistry, Mathematics 

30 August, 2025 (2:00 PM onward, Block-A): Geography, Sanskrit, Sociology, Ancient History 

30 August, 2025 (5:00 PM onward, Block-B): Zoology, Botany, Horticulture, Economics & Extension (Agriculture), Statistics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry (3), Pharmacology (2), Pharmacognosy (2), Pharmaceutics (2)

Eligible and interested candidates may appear in Walk-in-Interview along with duly filled and signed application form and original academic documents with one set of self-attested photocopies and experience certificates etc., along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. One Thousand Only) drawn in favour of “Finance Officer, Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj” payable at Prayagraj.

General Instructions:


1.  The Qualifications, General Instruction and Application Form may be downloaded from University website www.prsuniv.ac.in.

2.  The candidates are requested to read the General Instructions and Qualifications carefully before filling up the application form.

3.  The Empanelment of Guest Faculty is purely on a temporary basis.

4.  The minimum qualification shall be as per provisions laid down in the first Statutes of the University/as per UGC norms.

5.  Candidates are requested to go through essential qualification(s) to ascertain their eligibility.

6.  The applicants must enclose the self-attested photocopies of the mark-sheets, certificates/degree and other relevant documents with their application form.

7. The applicant must enclose his/her best research papers/publications along with the application form. Also, mention the serial no of UGC approved list of journal.

8. The Univsersity reserves the right to Revise/Reschudule/Cancel the recuitment process without assigning any reason. The decision of the University shall be final.

9. The Guest Faculty shall be paid honorarium of Rs. 1500/- (One Thousand Five Hundred Only) per Lecture and Maximum 50000/- (Rs. Fifty Thousand Only) per month as decided by Finance Committee and Approved by Executive Council.

10. No TA/DA will given to appear for Walk-in-Interview.

11. The candidates have to present a power point presentation before Interviw Board.

12. Superannuated/Retired Teachers may also apply for the engagement as Guest Faculty.

Qualifications: (as per first statutes/UGC norms)


ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

(i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system in at the Master's Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University.

(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

(iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses(i) and (ii) to this Clause 1, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grant Commission (Minimum Standars and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum elifibility condition of NET/SLET.SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor of equivalent positions in Univsersities/Colleges/Institutions.

Further, the award of degrees to candidates registered for M.Phil/Ph.D. program prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/By Laws? Regulations of the Institution awarding the degrees and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institions subject to the fulfilment of the following condition:

(a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;

(b) Evaluation of Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;

(c) Candidate had published two research paper out of which at least one in a referred journal from out of his/her Ph.D. work;

(d) The candidate has presented to papers in seminar/conferences from out of his/her Ph.D. work.

( c) Open Ph.D. viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted.

(a) To (e) as above are to be verified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-Vice Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University Instructions)"

(iv) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
